LOEX 2005 Conference. The 2005 LOEX Conference on library instruction and information literacy will be held May 12-14, 2005 in Louisville, Kentucky. This site has information on proposals, registration, program schedule, and local information. This is a great conference to attend but the window to register is small. If you don't fax your registration in to the LOEX office in the first 30 minutes that registration is open, you will not get in. (And I am not making that up! This one is tough to attend for this reason.)

From the site:

Discovering new knowledge or re-discovering old, connecting to thinkers and ideas in the past and present, engaging students in meaningful learning: these define Information Literacy at its best. At LOEX 2005, we'll explore ways that innovative librarians and their institutions are working to integrate Information Literacy and academic programs, to help each member of their community discover, connect, and engage with the world of ideas.

Part of what makes the LOEX conference exciting is the opportunity to meet and share ideas with information literacy professionals from around the country. When registration is complete, a list of attendees will be linked from this page.
