Communications in Information Literacy

Communications in Information Literacy. I was pleased to discover that there is a new journal coming out dealing with information literacy. This journal "is an independent, professional, refereed electronic journal dedicated to advancing knowledge, theory, and research in the area of information literacy. The journal is committed to the principles of information literacy as set forth by the Association of College and Research Libraries. CIL is also committed to the principles of open access for academic research."

Submission deadline for inclusion in the Spring 2007 inaugural issue is February 1, 2007. Authors are encouraged to submit papers at any time as submissions are accepted throughout the year.

Thanks for the link to this upcoming journal I remember reading about it last year and the list serve and was recently thinking of looking for it.

You're not the only varsity lettering librarian. I letter as a sophomore in high school and played center for 3 years - even being named all-conference as a senior. Glad to know I'm not the only football loving librarian.

Actually, I've started to do some fantasy football research sessions on campus for the freshmen football players during library orientation. I always tell my co-workers that fantasy football is a librarians game - it's all about research, finding and evaluating information.

Thanks for the post and keep up the work.

Thanks Paul, I am glad I was of assistance.

And now my short quest has ended. Thanks for letting me know I am not the only librarian with a football letter.

I also like fantasy football. However, after six years, I have yet to win a Yahoo fantasy league. I have came in second a few times but can not finish...
